If you want an unforgettable day on your holiday, you must join us for an excursion to enjoy the original tastes of Kefalonia
At our first stop, you will have the chance to taste the local extra-virgin olive oil while the producers explain to you all the details about the olive harvest, the varieties of the local olive trees, and the machines and procedures they follow in the olive press to maintain quality and produce biologically. You are going to taste the olive oil with bread, oregano, and tomato (riganada).
After the olive press, we are going to visit an organic restaurant that runs its own bio farm in the nearby village of Lakithra. Walk among lavender paths and feel the forgotten pleasures of the countryside. Stroll in the old olive grove and meet the fluffy chickens and cute ducks of the farm. Relax in the old styled atmosphere of a wooden traditional Kefalonian house, est.1954, and enjoy your breakfast.
On our last visit to the winery you will be greeted by a wine-specialist member of the staff, who for the next 60 minutes will guide you through the history of viticulture on the island, the modern-day wine-making practices, the grape varieties that are cultivated on the island, and you will have the opportunity to taste different local wines.
